It's been a while since my last progress report so here's the latest news. The second edition of MBK was published last week and the second edition of TOB will be published next week. For those of you who like to collect first editions (I know I do) your time is running out.
After the release of MBK, I've had a few people ask whether or not they've read the last installment of the Veronian Archives. Without spoiling it for those of you who have yet to read it, the short answer is "maybe". If you've seen the book trailer, you'll see that all will give some and some will give all. Such is the life of soldiers in battle strewn countries like Veronia. While I don't anticipate writing a third full length novel, I may return to Veronia at a later date to write a novella or two.
If you've been following my next project along on the home page of my website and you're wondering what exactly it is that I'm working, I can tell you this. My third book is a planned standalone, historical fiction novel. You must realize that without completing the first draft, a writer never knows if the story will work, or if it needs some time to develop on the sidelines for a while. This book has taken a great deal of research to develop an alternate continent, new cultures, and a cast of characters I hope you'll hold dear as I do. All that being said, this story is well developed now and the characters are doing most of the writing for me. It's a beautiful thing when a writer gets snagged somewhere along the storyline and the characters bail the wordsmith out with action or voice. If a murderous inquisition, hell-bent on advancing the ideologies of their kingdom, while rooting out those who threaten their way of life intrigues you then you might want to stay tuned for this one. Follow along and you'll be sure to laugh, hold back a few tears, cheer on the most fickle of characters and well after turning the last page and the wool's been pulled from your eyes you might be left questioning the agendas of many things past and present.
Until next time, keep reading
